Spawner
Spawner has been an underground producer making beats for a huge number of signed and unsigned artists both locally and internationally for the past 8 years.
Though DJing since 1998, Spawner emerged on the DJ scene in 2002 and has been Djing ever since. Unlike other DJs, Spawner is always updated making use of the most sophiscated hardware as well as keeping up to date on all genres of music.
The Spawner Riddims originally founded by Sheldon Rodney “Spawner”, Candice Rodney “Staress” and Elroy Samuel “Seeova” welcomed Brentwood Drigo “Costo”, Olelekan Oyeyemi “Chico” and Joseph Wenham “Cha”. These were the original family members who on a radio interview with DJ FLIP on Kairi Fm in 2006 dubbed us … The Spawner Riddims Family. We released the album “Reketeng Champions” May 2006 which got a lot of plays locally however, we did not have the expertise or experience to do a proper marketing campaign for our product. We also did radio jingles, live shows and dubs.
Since then, Chico, Starress and Cha went abroad to pursue degrees where they all represent hard for the family. Spawner acqured his degree while keeping the family alive. While Seeova is now a family, he always is available to voice on new productions. Costo has given his life to Christ.
While the family still remains and will never die, a new breed of skilled and highly spirited members have been added to the alliance as Spawner Riddims Soldiers. These includes upcoming DJ, Joseph Bazil “Dj Antique”. Dense Thomas “Shatta Dense” Dj/Mike personality. Steven George “DJ Ram” under construction. We are looking to grow our alliance of Spawner Riddim Soldiers and welcome everyone.
Currently, Spawner has released riddims which as of now are being voiced by artists in Jamaica, Miami, Amsterdam, New Jersey and Anguilla.
