Djay Smoove Has been a Dj for over 15 years now. Presently lives & Dj’s in the nature island of Dominica after recently coming from St Maarten & making a name for himself, in a small island but know world wide for having the Caribbeans best Dj’s !
This young veteran in the buisness.
Originally he was born in London October 1977 music has been apart of his life for as long as he can remember he say’s after his father was a Dj for house party’s for most Dominican’s & Caribbean foringers a like in & around London in the early 70’s.
At the age of 14 Smoove Started Djing with many sound systems & alot of the top Dj’s & played in numerous clubs around london: Kaka Lay Lay Soca Jam @ Zenith Discotheque, Lime Lights Night Club in Central London and many more He was also a member of Majestic Sound System with whom he Dj 4 years back to back @ the Second largest Street Party in the world London’s Notting Hill Carnival and also featured in many different partys & promotions.
In 1999 he left London & migrated to the caribbean Island of Dominica the Nature Ilse Of The Caribbean.
It was kind of hard at first but he soon adapted learned how to interact his london style of Djing with the caribbean vibe & started djing with some of the top djs in the nature ilse, Bucktown’s Dj Cut (presently in London), Slaughter Sounds Dj Alfy, Dj Scare, Nite Force Sounds Dj Redboy (presently in london sagaboys dj crew) & Dj Quick & more also in all club’s on the island at that time
Where House Disco, Scorpio’s & The Zone Night Club Canefiled which was Founded & Started by smoove himself to name a few, After some years he left Dominica & decided it was time to make his name in another island next destination sept 2003 St Maarten/Saint Martin Sun shine City The frendly island.
Afther just 3 months he met & started working with one of st maarten best the legendary Cut Master (Godfarther) Dj Sheff shortly afther he joined his Dj squad Associated Sounds
Founders of Reggae Cafe ( N/A), Sheff gave Djay Smoove a chance to shine & show his talent,
starting off @ Reggae Cafe then from there he went to Q Club (presently know as Tantra Night Club) St Martens Number One Club where he continued to play as a resident for another year & the rest was history playing in almost all clubs on the island, Club Gizmo maho (N/A), Bamboo Vert (F.W.I), Bamboo Bernies( N/A), Club Bamboo Maho (N/A) not to mention playing alongside the best DJ’S on the Island of St Maarten Dj (Cut Creator) Outkast, (Big Bad) Dave Nice, (Top a De Top) DeeJ Blaze, (Mix Master)Dj Pauly, Party Dude Jason(Lazer 101),MC/Dj Perfect(Q Club & Bliss).
From his St Maarten trip Smoove gained vital exposure & used this to push Dominican music & artists more, haveing Dj’d in Anguilla, Antigua, Statia, St Barth, Guadaloupe to mention a few caribbean islands.
Also Djay Smoove toured around Holland with Associated Sounds @ Beat Street Sound Exchange Da Goodness hollands best Urban Party & Jamrock International amstadam’s Number one reggae & dancehall Party.
With Hollands Top Dj’s such as the Good Fellas Dj Crew Dj Prime & Dj Marvel & Jamrock Sounds Dj Waxfiend & Shyrock a.k.a( Mykal X), Dj Jah, Djay Smoove has also featured with international aritist such as Hawk Eye, Buju Banton, Voicemail, Carimi, WCK, MFR, Jeff Joseph, Cecil, Sean Strom to mention a few and more too come
