From cutting it up in the clubs to breaking new records on radio, DJ Outkast has perfected the art of mixing, scratching and blending music, using his totally unique style, where international, local and cultural rhythms weave into a steady tempo of musical movement for the crowd to enjoy.

Born Chantry C. Hodge on the island of St Maarten, Dutch West Indies, he knew at a very young age that music would be his life. Experimenting on some old turntables, a CD player and a cassette deck in his basement he immersed himself in the world of music his father left behind when he closed an old family record shop owned for decades. A large selection of singles and LP records of the 70’s and 80’s were at his fingertips and with a little flourish and perfecting his own performing talent Outkast started playing for birthday parties and other small events at the age of 15.

In June 2004, DJ Outkast traveled to Europe for the first time, where he played at venues in Amsterdam & Germany. These events prepared DJ Outkast for what was ahead of him in the coming months as in August, international beer distributor Heineken held its very first Green Synergy DJ Competition, featuring the Caribbean’s best DJs. DJ Outkast, the youngest DJ in the competition at age 20, won hands down. As St Maarten’s Champion, DJ Outkast placed 2nd in Antigua for the Caribbean finals of the Green Synergy Competition. In 2006 history repeated itself when Outkast won St. Maarten’s Competition for a 2nd time. Then went on to The Bahamas to place 2nd in the Caribbean Finals, which was featured on popular Caribbean TV network Tempo.

Since the Green Synergy experience, The Cut Creator has been making his mark throughout the Caribbean & Europe. He has been instrumental in promoting St. Maarten through his musical talent. Outkast’s quick mixes and energetic style of playing is the reason why his popularity has been on a rise with promoters and fans alike. With a vast travel history in the past 6 years, Outkast has entertained party people in more than 15 countries & over 30 cities in his quest to make himself a household name wherever he plays.

In 2009 Outkast was approached by Dj Whoo Kid & Dj Genie Of The Shadyville Djs to create Shadyville Caribbean. A Caribbean branch off of the world famous Shadyville Dj Fraternity which is also established with Shady/Aftermath & G Unit. Dj Outkast is now signed on and apart of Top Gunners & Shadyville Djs along with Shadyville/Aftermath & G Unit!! Doing St. Maarten Proud!!!

In 2010 Outkast made another major step by creating “Back At It Radio” His syndicated radio show that is creating quite a buzz. Syndicating to countries like Curacao’, Trinidad & Tobago, New York, Florida, & England among others. Outkast breaks the newest records, breaks down the latest news & counts down the hottest club bangers.

De son vrai nom C. Hodge , Dj Outkast est originaire de l’île de Saint Martin.
Cet autodidacte a débuté dès son plus jeune âge dans multiples manifestations musicales sur son île natale. En 2004, il s’est rendu au Pays-Bas où il a animé diverses soirées dans la capitale. Cette expérience lui a beaucoup apporté, puisqu’au mois d’août, il a remporté haut la main une compétition organisée par « Heineken » où il était confronté au meilleurs DJs de la Caraîbe ; (et ce malgré qu’il était le plus jeune participant). Devenu dj résident du Tantra à saint-martin, souvent sollicité pour des évènements tels que la Heineken Reggata, Dj Outkast à depuis fait ses preuves aux côtés de nombreux artistes Caribéens (Busy Signal, Movado, Vybz Kartel, Brick and Lace, Gyptian, Serani …), ainsi que de nombreux artistes internationaux (Akon, Shaggy, Yung Joc, Elephant man, Dj Chukie, Big Ali …)

Membre actif des Shadyvilles Dj’s, il travaille régulièrement avec Dj Who kid, dj officiel de 50 Cent.
Toutes ces manifestations ont considérablement accéléré la promotion de DJ Outkast désormais reconnu dans toute la Caraïbe.
Son talent musical fait de lui un réel ambassadeur pour la promotion de son île.
Ses choix variés lui permettent de mixer divers styles musicaux afin de plaire au plus grand nombre.

De part ses multiples voyages réalisés ces deux dernières années à travers le monde Dj Outkast a su se créer une place dans le monde de la nuit, laissant ainsi son empreinte musicale afin de faire de son nom une renommée à dimension internationale.
