Commodore
Everyone in the Virgin Islands and neighboring Islands, including St. Vincent and St. Maarten has had a taste of this spectacular DJ. Ian ‘Commodore’ Thomas is a native of St. Kitts, but raised in Tortola. ‘Commodore,’ which is actually the name given to a high ranking officer; was given to him by police sergeant Butch Romney, who thought the classy title best suited the DJ.
His experience is diverse. Commodore began his DJ career in 1986, when he would perform at the Cannon Ball Disco in Tortola. Other places where Commodore has worked include Mexico, USA, Paris, and London, as well as most islands in the Caribbean. He contributes his cosmic knowledge of music to former Boss/ Club owner of St. Maarten’s international “Studio 7” Disco: David; who had him on a strict music regime. He continues to utilize his knowledge as he entertains his audience and never ceases to disappoint them.
